Chrissy Teigen Quits Twitter After Receiving Threats

Celeb |

Model, television personality and wife to John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, gained twitter popularity by being open and able to talk about absolutely anything. She has a great personality and an awesome sense of humor. After her comments regarding the October 22 shooting in Ottawa Ontario, it seems that she might be quitting twitter. She posted the following, "Active shooting in Canada, or as we call it in America, Wednesday. That's not a joke. It is a fact. ... I've lost faith in this world. Sorry if it comes off as being unemotional. There is just so much bad." The reaction from the majority of the public was swift and harsh. She tried to explain that she wasn't making a joke about Canada, but about the gun control policies in America, but it was too late. Making light of such violence was not appreciated by Americans or Canadians alike.

Tweeters then used her page as a firing platform saying things like, "You should probably stick to having your picture taken for a living," and "So, how much of an stupid bitch are you?" She even received a threat stating, "I hope someone murders someone you love, like your f****t husband." Teigen had enough.

Teigen had enough, posting in return, "I can't see anything through the sea of hate and anger that is now my Twitter. Seriously I can't sift through it all, it's gotten to the point people don't even see the simplicity of the original tweet and have just wanted to get shaking-mad over something." Then she posted, "Bye Twitter. Taking my talents to Instagram." And with that she was gone. Cyber bullying is REAL! But instagram is happy to have Teigen on it, she is a force to be reckoned with and already has hundreds of thousands of followers. Teigen posts photographs from her job on America’s Lip Sync Battle, of her beautiful baby as well as a ton of photos of delicious meals that she cooks for her family.v
