Antonio Brown Going to Honor Late Pat Tillman

Causes |

Antonio Brown is one of the top 5 best receivers in the NFL! He is always showcasing that along with being a great wide receiver, he is also a great man. For Veterans Day this year, he is doing something great for a fallen warrior. Antonio Brown honors people that he idolizes and this Sunday, he will wear custom cleats that will have former NFL player Pat Tillman's face on them. The cleats he will be wearing this Sunday, will honor the former veteran Tillman in an amazing way.

One one side of the cleats, he will have Tillman's face in his Arizona Cardinals gear, and on the other cleat, he will have Tillman in his army ranger gear. This will showcase both sides of a fallen veteran, who people miss and love. After deciding during the 2001 season that he wanted to do something to make a difference after the 9/11 attacks, Tillman walked away from a lucrative NFL contract and joined the U.S. Army in 2002. He was killed in Afghanistan in 2004 at the age of 27; he would have turned 40 this week.

Antonio Brown has recently honored people like Muhammad Ali, Arnold Palmer, Kimbo Slice and Jose Fernandez on his shoes. Brown wanted to wear the cleats during the game, but the NFL does not allow players to wear anything with personal messages on them. However, Brown will wear the cleats during the pre-game warmups and I am sure will get attention from fans and players alike. This really shows Brown's true character, to go out of his way and honor these former fallen sports stars anyway he can. Hopefully, the cleats will motivate him to have a great game. There are also rumors that he will auction the cleats off for charity after the game, which is a great thing as well!
